Family owned structure with a portfolio of 5,792 hectares of very well consolidated land in Latvia. First acquisitions in 2004 and a very long-term forest management strategy with focus on planting and pre-commercial thinning to improve the forest stands.


Highlights
  • Very well consolidated property that encompasses 4,829 hectares of productive forest and plantations with a total standing volume of approximately 529,720 cubic meters and an average growing stock on productive forest land of 110 m³/hectare.
  • The properties are primarily located in the Pasienes municipality in the Latgale region of Latvia.
  • Birch is the dominant species, followed by spruce, pine, and white alder.
  • In total, 1,832 ha are registered plantations whereof about 1,100 ha are registered spruce plantations younger than 20 years old.
  • A total of 604 hectares of agricultural land with 428 ha currently being leased out.
  • A field assessment was conducted to verify the forest data, and the field control measurements showed an average of 13% higher volume than the database.
  • A small part, approximately 3% of the area, or 4% of the volume, is under APROB restriction, with the main restriction being no clearcuts and only selective cutting and thinnings.
